My beaded jewelry combines faceted glass crystals, pearls, and non-precious stones with metallic, luster, and rainbow seed beads. I use a variety of bead stitching techniques and materials to create intricate layers of color, texture, and design. I am always looking for unusual components to incorporate into my designs such as vintage Swarovski crystals, hand made glass cabochons, distinctive stone cabochons, and raku fired pottery pieces. My goal is for each piece to have its' own unique character through the design, structure, and color choices. Many of the beautiful stone cabochons in my jewelry begin as a rough slab that is cut and polished by my husband, Tom. My background in tapestry weaving and graphic design adds another dimension to the process.
